A little more than half an hour from Dumaguete, capital of the Isla de Negros, is Dauin, a place visited by many divers a year.

Frogfish (Antennarius sp.)

The "muck diving" and macro diving is the main reason why you can not stop visiting this small Filipino population. Do not forget the camera at home because you will need it.

Its dark sand beaches hide infinite treasures under its waters, pursued by many photographers around the globe. Dives can be either from shore or from a boat.

It is difficult for me to choose what impressed me the most. Without a doubt, frogfish is one of my favorites and in Dauin you can find them in all colors and sizes. And speaking of size, that of this nudibranch sheep.

Costasiella usagi

You can not stop admiring the colors of these cuttlefish.

Flamboyant cuttlefish (Metasepia pfefferi)

Or this cute octopus.

Coconut octopus (Amphioctopus marginatus)

Our Filipino guide made it possible for us to see the wonderpus octopus for the first time.

Wunderpus photogenicus

The night dives are not for less.

Bobtail squid

A single dive is never enough in Dauin.

See you in the blue
