The Gili Islands are a set of three islands that lie northwest of Lombok, and are comprised of Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air.
They´re a popular diving destination; perfect for beginners, being able to practice the activity around the three islands.

All dive sites are between 3 and 15 minutes navigation, which returning to the islands between dives very comfortable.

The conditions are great, with temperatures from 27 to 29 ºC, visibilities up to 30m and a massive variety of marine life to see. It´s common to find currents during dives, but do not be alarmed, it can be fun and a good opportunity to learn how to use your SMB (Surface Market Bouy).
An inhabitant seen in almost all dives is the sea turtle, both green and hawksbill. No matter what time of year you visit the islands, these reptiles swim throughout the year.

Some of the diving points we can highlight are:
Shark Point (Gili T)

It´s true that you have high chances of seeing white tip reef sharks and black tip, but the possibilities do not end there. The Glen Nusa wreck awaits you at 30m and is full of life, with large schools of fish around it.

Bounty Wreck (Gili Meno)
To the southwest of Gili Meno, we will find the wreck, Bounty. This time, it´s not a ship, but a submerged platform which sank in 1999 because of a storm. Once again, creating an artificial reef, it´s colonized by hard and soft corals, becoming home to many reef species. The deepest part of the wreck is 18m, and shallows up to 8m.

Hans Reef (Gili Air)
This dive site differs from the rest, being a pinnacle that goes from 8m to 22m deep surrounded by a sandy bottom. It may be one of the most diverse areas; you´ll be able to find lots of different marine life, from turtles, to octopuses, cuttlefish and a great variety of macro.

All dive centers collaborate with Gili Eco Trust in Gili T, a non-profit organization responsible for waste management, artificial reefs, medical care for horses and cats, recycling and more. A voluntary donation of 50,000 IDR will help them continue their projects.
